The Sollentuna GP (SWE) on Monday 10th looks like a pretty good meeting with quite a few Brits entered too - http://www.folksamgrandprix.se/Solle...sp?PageId=2118

Not bad fields for the first WA Continental Gold meeting in Turku, Finland this Tuesday 11th, and a lot of Brits competing.
Fair to say, I think, that many of the fields are kinda European Championship semifinal level, though the women's 100H looks cracking. For me, that's good enough for the moment. It all looks competitive with a nice mix of nations represented.
I see that it's not on Eurosport this year so that means we'll be able to watch World Athletics' YouTube stream of it.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 06-08-20, 23:18.

Kipruto will miss Monaco DL - positive for the Shanghai Shivers, but no symptoms. Was talking a WR attempt.

Terrific win in the 400 at the Czech Championships for 18yo Barbora Malíková (DoB 30.12.2001), coming from 5 metres down off the final bend to defeat the favourite Lada Vondrová (PB/SB 51.35) in a NU20R, 51.65. Malíková is the World U18 champion from 2017 (aged 15!) & European U18 champion from 2018.
The race is at the 1h 10m mark at https://www.ceskatelevize.cz/porady/...cr-2020-plzen/ (no geo-blocking) - Malíková in lane 5 in the all-blue kit.
It sucks for her that the World U20 Championships were postponed this year - she's 2 days too old to be eligible for the re-arranged championships next year!

Oh boy! .... Check out the fields for Monaco - https://monaco.diamondleague.com/en/...ats-monaco-en/
I hope they all make it there!
A reminder that there's good meetings streaming live tomorrow and Tuesday, with plenty of British involvment - the Sollentuna GP & the Paavo Nurmi Games (WACT Gold meeting).

Three British victories at the WACT Gold meeting in Turku.
The aforementioned Pozzi, Millie Courtney-Bryant in a near PB, 4:03.69, and Jazmin Sawyers, 6.54.
Also, a big 6s PB for Phil Norman, 2nd in the Steeple, 8:23.60. So, that's two British men sub-8:24 in the last year. We're being spoiled, LOL.
The meeting was finished with a very good Women's 100H. Nadine Visser the winner in 12.66 and 2nd and 3rd , Luminosa Bogliolo (ITA) 12.79 & Luca Kozak (HUN) 12.83 PB, are gradually closing in on their respective NRs which are both 12.76 (Veronica Borsi & Xenia Siska).
