Live streams/broadcasts for Thursday 16th March:

    Thursday
    • Sir Graeme Douglas International (Auckland, NZL) - WA Contintental Tour Bronze meeting; The Men's & Women's 1500s look like the most interesting events here, including a load of Japanese and other international representation. In the Women's Nozomi Tanaka and 4:07.9 compatriot Ran Urabe should be to the fore along with Rebecca Mehra (USA) & Rebekah Greene (NZL). McCartney, McTaggart & Ayris go again in the W Pole Vault. Other athletes competing include Tom Walsh & Zoe Hobbs (100)
    • Victorian Milers Club Meet 5 (Doncaster, VIC, AUS) - 800m & 1500m; Again the 1500s are the best events here with Caldwell, Hollingsworth, Maudie Skyring, Amy Bunnage & Hancock-Cameron in the Women's 'A' race and Buckingham, Matthew Hussey & William Lewis in the Men's

Next major post possibly tomorrow (Thursday) evening but more likely on Friday evening for the weekend's streams including the John Wolmer Speedfest meeting in Jamaica, the loaded NYC Half Marathon, marathons in Seoul, Barcelona, New Taipei City & Los Angeles, the Asian Race Walking Championships and possibly the Carolina Spring Break Classic meeting in Puerto Rico.

Linked now in the latest document 2 posts above are YouTube recordings of the TV broadcasts for the Sydney Track Classic and (with ad breaks removed) the Nagoya Women's Marathon.

The senior long races at the Italian Cross Country Championships were indeed included in the YouTube streams
after the TV broadcast had finished. In the document I've indicated at what point they start in the streams.

Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 11th March to Sunday 12th March:

    Saturday to Sunday
    • Ongoing New Balance Nationals Indoor (Boston, MA, USA) - see post above
    • Ongoing Nike Indoor Nationals (New York, USA) - see post above
    • European Throwing Cup (Leiria, POR) - The quality of the events varies but the Women's Jav, the Men's Shot & the Women's Hammer look like the strongest and/or most interesting. Tzengko & Vilagos face-off in the W Jav. In the M SP, there's Weir, Kokoshko, Fabbri & Bertemes and the Women's Hammer sees a re-match of the Munich medalists, Ghelber, Rozanska & Fantini. Other big names competing include Ceh, Schilder & Fajdek. Lincoln, Okoye, Percy & Charlotte Payne are part of the British team competing
    Saturday
    • Ongoing NCAA D2 Indoor Championships (Virginia Beach, VA, USA) - see post above
    • Ongoing NCAA D1 Indoor Championships (Albuquerque, NM, USA) - see post above
    • Sydney Track Classic incl Australian 3000m Championships (Sydney, NSW, AUS) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; As well as some top Aussies there's a fair number of Japanese and Kiwi athletes competing here. However, the quality of the events is quite variable. Amongst the better events are the Women's 800 with Griffith, Caldwell, Sanford, Nozomi Tanaka & Rebecca Mehra (USA) and the Women's 3000 with Jess Hull, Tanaka (again!), Davies, Gregson and a number of other good athletes. Fred Kerley goes in the 400
    • British Athletics Cross Challenge Series Final incl Inter-Counties XC Championships (Loughborough, GBR) - From what I can gather from the preview (the entry lists are too long to wade through!) the senior races aren't particularly deep with Megan Keith, Jess Gibbon and the Mahamed brothers the headline athletes
    • 10km Villa de Laredo (Laredo, ESP) - International 10km road race; The fields are good and headlined by Berihu Aregawi who wants to run sub-27 here. Others in the Men's race include Peter Maru (UGA), Efrem Gidey, Pietro Riva & Thomas Mortimer. The Women's race has a few Kenyans headed by Naomi Chepngeno and home hopes Isabel Barreiro and triathlete Paula Herrero who is taking aim at Trihas Gebre's 31:39 Spanish NR having run 31:44 recently
    Sunday
    • Nagoya Women's Marathon (Nagoya, JPN) - WA Platinum Label race; This is the world's biggest Women-only Marathon (22,000 runners in 2018) with the biggest first prize of any marathon, 250,000 US Dollars. However, the first prize hasn't attracted a stellar field. Ruth Chepngetich leads the field (it has been rumoured she won't start) but Nancy Jelagat is the only other sub-2:20 athlete. Top Japanese women racing include Ayuko Suzuki, Honami Maeda (both 2021 Olympians), Mao Uesugi, Mizuki Tanimoto & Yuka Suzuki, a 23yo recent collegiate star running her 2nd marathon after her 2:25:02 debut here last year. Other entrants include the Aussies, Eloise Wellings & Izzi Batt-Doyle, the USA's Sarah Pagano and three Chinese 2:26/2:27 athletes
    • Durban International Marathon incl South African Marathon Championships (Durban, RSA) - WA Label race; I have no idea which international athletes are competing but I believe they are targeting 2:08 and 2:26
    • Festa del Cross - Italian Individual & Clubs Cross Country Championships (Gubbio, ITA) - No rest for the likes of Nadia Battocletti and Ludovica Cavalli after Istanbul! Battocletti is part of a strong Women's race that also includes Arnaudo, Selva, Colli, Reina, Gemetto, Mattagliano & Aprile. The Men's race is headed by two-time defending champ, Iliass Aouani, and Osama Zoghlami. In the short 3km senior races Cavalli, Micol Majori, Ala Zoghlami & Mattia Padovani are amongst those lining up
    • Elche International Half Marathon (Elche (Alicante), ESP) - Ben Connor is the fastest athlete racing here and will face the likes of David Nilsson, David Bascuñana and three 62 minute Moroccans. Siham Hilali (MAR) heads the Women's entrants
    • Ghent Half Marathon incl Belgian Half Marathon Championships (Gent, BEL) - WA Elite Label race; The fields are good here and include Bashir Abdi hoping to break the Belgian NR of 60:18. In the Women's race Lydia Njeri Mathathi & Veronica Loleo (both KEN) are aiming for sub-68 and the entrants also include Kasanesh Ayenew Baze (ETH) who has had some good wins in Switzerland recently
    • Lisbon Half Marathon (Lisbon, POR) - WA Elite Label race; From the headline athletes released these races look loaded! Ayana, Niyonsaba (HM debut), Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi & 64:14 athlete Gebrzihair go in the Women's race whilst there's at least 4 sub-59 men racing - Rhonex Kipruto, Rodgers Kwemoi, Gebrhiwet & Sawe

Live streams/broadcasts for Thursday 9th March to Friday 10th March:

It's explained further in the document but unless you subscribe to the ESPN Player it's probably not going to be easy (or possible?) for us in the UK to watch the NCAA D1 Indoor Championships live.

There is a Continental Tour Challenger meeting on Thursday - the NSW Milers Series Meet 6 - but the fields are really not very good so I haven't included it in the document. TBH, I'm very surprised that it's got Challenger meeting status.

    Thursday
    • Box Hill Classic (Box Hill, VIC, AUS) - Mid-distance meeting; The mid-distance events at this season's Aussie meetings haven't taken off because several of their bigger names such as Bisset, Linden Hall, McSweyn & Jye Edwards have raced very sparingly or not at all. Unfortunately, that trend continues here and the fields aren't as strong as they usually are. The Women's 1500 'A' race might be the best race with Claudia Hollingsworth & Georgia Hansen. Curiously, Bisset is the only entry in a Mixed 800 (dunno what's going on there!)
    Thursday to Sunday
    • New Balance Nationals Indoor (Boston, MA, USA) - One of two US High School national indoor championships, sponsored by competing shoe companies; Shawnti Jackson (60 & 200), Lex Young (5000), Sadie Engelhardt, Ellie Shea (both Mile) & Nyckoles Harbor (200) are amongst the athletes competing here
    Friday to Sunday
    • Nike Indoor Nationals (New York, USA) - The other US High School national indoor championships! World U20 400H champion Akala Garrett is in the 60H & 400 and Sophia Gorriaran is in the 800 & the Mile - in the latter event against Irene Riggs and 3 other members of the World U20 cross team
    Friday to Saturday
    • NCAA D2 Indoor Championships (Virginia Beach, VA, USA) - This is always a good watch
    • NCAA D1 Indoor Championships (Albuquerque, NM, USA)

Next major post on Friday evening for the weekend's events including the European Throwing Cup, Nagoya Women's Marathon, Sydney Track Classic, Lisbon Half Marathon, Italian Cross Country Championships and the 10km Villa de Laredo in Spain.

Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 4th March to Sunday 5th March:

It's possible that there will be a full post-race video for Saturday's Breaking 10 road race in Barrowford with Emile Cairess and Andy Butchart amongst others. The organisers are promoting the possibility of Cairess breaking Richard Nerurkar's 46:02 British Record for 10 Miles. If it becomes available, I will add it to the document. The race will finish around 6.30pm.

As stated elswhere on the forum, The TEN event in California is pay-per-view (6 dollars) so is not included in the document below.

    Saturday to Sunday
    • Ongoing New Zealand Outdoor Championships (Wellington, NZL) - See the post above
    • Ongoing European Indoor Championships (Istanbul, TUR) - See the post above
    • Ongoing New South Wales State Senior & U23 Outdoor Championships (Sydney, NSW, AUS) - See the post above
    • Ongoing Victorian State Senior & U20 Outdoor Championships (Melbourne, VIC, AUS) - See the post above
    • Spanish U20 Indoor Championships (Sabadell, ESP) - Whilst there is a number of good athletes here it's probably fair to say that it's not loaded. Maybe it comes too late in the indoor season and some of the best U20s have already "shut their season down"?
    Saturday
    • Hobart Run the Bridge (Hobart, TAS, AUS) - International 10km road race; This year it looks like Aussies will be denied the home victory with 3 Ugandans competing - Kenneth Kiprop, Dan Kibet & Prisca Chesang (7th in World XC two weeks ago). Liam Adams, Leanne Pompeani and the Gregsons, Ryan & Genevieve, are amongst the top domestic entries
    • USA 15km Championships (Jacksonville, FL, USA) - Leonard Korir & Hillary Bor are the pick of the Men's field whilst Emily Sisson should have the beating of a line-up that includes Allie Ostrander, Annie Frisbie & Dakotah Lindwurm
    • Corrida Cipolletti (Cipolletti, ARG) - International 10km road race; I have no idea who's competing in this night race but I think it's usually a decent race with elite entries from several South American countries. Last year it was won in 29:00
    Sunday
    • Tokyo Marathon (Tokyo, JPN) - WA Elite Platinum Label race; We're missing the massive names here (they're all running Boston or London) but the fields are still strong and competitive. There's 9 sub-2:05 men including Sisay Lemma, Benard Koech and Stephen Kissa (UGA). There's also a total of 46 sub-2:10 athletes entered so it could be another crazy-deep race like last weekend's men's race in Osaka where there was a lead pack of 50+ at halfway! Amongst the other athletes are Cam Levins and Mohamed El Aaraby (2nd in NY, 2021). Kyohei Hosoya (JPN; 2:06:35 PB) has said he's attacking Kengo Suzuki's 2:04:56 NR. The Women's field is headed by 6 women separated on PBs by 1 minute. They include Ashete Bekere, Rosemary Wanjiru (2:18:00 debut in Berlin 2022) and Tsehay Gemechu. The three fastest Japanese women entered will likely be aiming to join the sub-2:20 club. However, Mao Ichiyama broke a rib in December so her form is uncertain. Mizuki Matsuda has her limitations I feel (though I'd love to be proven wrong) and the third of those is Ai Hosoda. She may be the best bet having run 2:21:42 in London where she was all on her own for most of the race (remember, London has a women-only race). Maybe, having the competition this time could be enough to push her under the 2:20 barrier?
    • Copa Brasil Race Walking (Brasilia, BRA) - The Men's 20km could be good here with Brazil's 3 Tokyo Olympians, Caio Bonfim, Mattheus Correa & Lucas Mazzo. The Women's 35km could also be decent quality with Viviane Lyra, Elianay Pereira & Mayara Vicentainer. Sadly, their big gun on the Women's side, Erica de Sena, is missing. She DNF'd at the World RW Tour event in Ecuador last weekend

I ended up watching the replay of the Osaka Marathon on NHK plus after creating a free temporary 30 day account. The full account may require payment though, but I was really happy to watch the race with no text message covering the screen once I'd done that.

    Thanks, @cooperw02
Yes, I don't include the official NHK links now because whenever I watch them they have a large section of the screen permanently covered with text. I think it's to encourage people to pay money for the NHK Plus service. Do let me know if your experience is different though. (And yes, it does require a VPN)
99% of the time the unofficial NHK link I include works very well (no geo-blocking) and with very good picture quality too. But obviously it won't be available on-demand at that link.
Working...
