Meeting International SATUC Toulouse (Toulouse, FRA) - Mid-distance meeting; Some of the fields aren't great here but the Men's 800 'A' race is pretty loaded with 4 sub-1:45 men headed by Oussama Nabil (MAR) and a further 2 sub-1:46 including Ireland's John Fitzsimmons. Kane Elliott is in a decent 1500 'A' race
Spåret 5000m (Stockholm, SWE) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; The Men's 5000 'A' race is quite good with some good Swedes such as Emil Danielsson, Simon Sundstrom & Suldan Hassan facing some good Norwegians like Per Svela & Magnus Tuv Myhre. The Women's race isn't as strong
Meeting Desafío Nerja (Nerja, ESP) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; In its fourth year this meeting is going from strength to strength with some nice fields in the 800s, 1500s & 5000s. The Women's 1500 features Guerrero vs Marta Perez along with a couple of fairly unknown Ethiopians and a couple of Spain's best 800m women. World Indoor 800m champ Mariano Garcia goes in the Men's 1500 against Samuel Abate (ETH), Fontes & Paniagua. The Women's 5000 has a number of Spain's best (e.g., Sanchez-Escribano, Ruiz, Marques (debut)) plus 2023 World U20 XC champ Senayet Getachew and other decent internationals such as Muriel Coneo (COL). The Men's 5000 looks competitive with a number of good Spaniards (e.g., Carro, Arce, Jiminez, Hassaous) along with three 13-mid Ethiopians, Mohamed Al-Garni (QAT) & Santiago Catrofe (URU). Two Ethiopians should dominate the Women's 800 (headed by Worknesh Mesele (1:58.7 PB)), ahead of Zoya Naumov & Salome Afonso (POR)

Track Night NYC (New York, USA) - WA Continental Tour Bronze meeting; The 800s are the main events here ($8,000 for the winners!) Hoppel, Harris, Lopez & Randolph go in the Men's and in the Women's there's Ajee Wilson, Allie Wilson, Tracey, Lucia Stafford & Gorriaran. There's a few other Brits in action including Bird & Leather in the W 1500 & Coleman in the M 3000SC

I don't know who is competing but I do know that Salwa Eid Naser is competing in the Grand Prix meeting in Chile on Sunday.

Sorry, no teaser notes tonight but for nearly all the events there are adequate preview articles linked in the document as well as start/entry lists.

Other than the 3 events taking place in Britain, there are Brits also competing at Lange Laufnacht (stronger than its Challenger label might suggest), the Karlovy Vary Half Marathon, the European Race Walking Team Championships, the Mityng Gwiazd na Rynku Kościuszki street meet and the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix.

Saturday to Sunday

East Japan Corporate Championships (Tochigi, JPN) - The entry lists are loaded here, especially in the distance events. But, there is a proviso ... There's sometimes quite a lot of withdrawals from the regional Corporate Championships so a race that looks loaded might end up just being a good field. However, there's lots of names I'm excited about so I'll still be watching and hoping most of them turn up!

Memoriál Ludvíka Daňka (Turnov, CZE) - The headline event here is always the Men's Discus and this year it features Chad Wright (JAM), Nick Percy, Robert Szikszai (HUN) & Victor Hogan (RSA) and also good Czechs such as Marek Barta (64.40 PB) and the Forejt brothers. The rest of the events aren't as strong but there are some top Czechs competing as well as some Ukrainians and C-level Jamaicans. For example, in the Men's 100 Veleba & Stromsik face Bailey Oshane & Samuel Rowe. The Women's 100 Hurdles and 300 are also decent
International Meeting Ptuj - Robert Prelog Memorial (Ptuj, SLO) - Competing here there's athletes of varying ability from 10 countries. The big domestic names competing are Kristjan Ceh & Neja Filipic (LJ) and elsewhere there's a few decent head-to-heads such as Aurora Berton (ITA) against Agata Zupin in the W 200. I think the overall fields will be stronger for the weekend's meeting in Slovenska Bistrica which is a Conti Tour Challenger meeting

Kansai Region University Championships (Nagai, JPN) - Kansai is one of the stronger athletics regions and includes Kyoto, Osaka, Hyōgo & Kobe. The quality of fields for this is a bit down (but not by much in many events) on the Kantō Region University Championships streamed 2 weeks ago although there is some real strength in the Women's distances here. Two or three of the very best Japanese collegians face each other in the Women's 5000 & 10,000. In the 10,000 on Day 1 are Tomo Muramatsu & Hikaru Kitagawa (the Japanese University Half Marathon champ) - they were 2nd and 3rd respectively at the Japanese University Individual Champs 5 weeks ago. Kitagawa is a fun athlete to watch. She doesn't mind getting out in front and pushing hard. Those two will be joined by Rio Einaga, only 8th on that occasion but she has a matching PB to Muramatsu (32:22) and was 2nd to Kitagawa in the recent Japanese University HM Champs. All 3 of them have been selected to represent Japan, and should be medal contenders, at the World University Games (Universiade) in 2 months' time. Kitagawa & Muramatsu will also be returning for the 5000 on Saturday (both of them doubled 5 weeks ago so I expect they will again); The coverage by YTV on the YouTube streams is excellent. If you watched any of those Japanese University Individual Championships 5 weeks ago you'll know what to expect - YTV also produced the streams for that. On the on-demand streams they even mark the events on the video timeline so you can more easily click to specific events you want to watch
? NCAA D1 East Preliminary Rounds AKA East Regionals (Jacksonville, FL, USA) - The qualifying rounds to see who gets to go to the big dance in 2 weeks' time. Please note, there's no guarantee that live streams will be available for this. See the explanation in the document below
? NCAA D1 West Preliminary Rounds AKA West Regionals (Sacramento, CA, USA) - Ditto the above. Also, due to the 8 hour time difference, any live streaming for Day 1 will actually start on Thursday and Day 4's streaming will start on Sunday

Filathlitikos Kallithea International Jumping Meeting (Kallithea, Athens, GRE) - WA Continental Tour Bronze meeting; This is the meeting that Tentoglou jumped that disputed 8.60 at a couple of years ago. He's jumping in Cyprus on Thursday instead but competing here are the two Indians who have jumped 8.35+ in the last year or so, Jeswin Aldrin & Murali Sreeshankar, along with Frenchmen Pommery & Konate. Larissa Iapichino & Khaddi Sagnia head a good Women's LJ field. Others competing include Franklin & Zaiganova in the W TJ and Salming (SWE) & Dosi (GRE) in the W HJ. There's Pole Vault comps too but they don't look particularly strong
International Meeting Citta' Di Savona - Memorial Giulio Ottolia (Savona, ITA) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; There's a lot of very good fields here, much more Silver-y in those events than Challenger-y, I'd say. For example, Prescod, Tortu & Cisse are part of a pretty loaded 100 field. The Men's 400 Hurdles sees Samba facing Copello & Sibilio. In the Women's 400 there's Swiety-Ersetic, Medina (DOM) & Laviai Nielsen. Reetta Hurske heads a very good Euro field in the 100H and Asher-Smith faces some good Europeans in the W 200. In the field, there's strong line-ups for the Men's Shot Put & the Women's Triple Jump. In total there's 7 Brits due to compete
Fast Arms, Fast Legs (Wetzlar, GER) - International sprints meeting; WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; For the most part the fields here are just OK. The pick of them is probably the Men's 100 with 4 men at 10.11 or faster, headed by Enoch Adegoke (NGR). Again, there's 7 Brits entered, including Eugene Amo-Dadzie (100), Desiree Henry (100 & 200) and Thomas Somers (200 & 400)

For combined events junkies it's a helluva weekend. Maybe cast one stream to your telly, have one going on your computer and the other on your tablet/mobile? Line them all up next to each other and you're sorted!

Elsewhere on the streams we have a cracking weekend and we're starting to get into the meat of the European outdoor season with Pfingstsportfest in Rehlingen (CT Silver) looking like the highlight of those meetings.

You may have seen my post elsewhere on the forum from earlier today ... European Athletics are live streaming all the top French meetings on the Conti Tour for free so they're no longer only available behind a paywall.

Finally, the British takeover of Oordegem (Belgium) is being live streamed but it's pay-per-view at 5 Euros. Hence, I haven't included it here.

Saturday to Sunday

Taiwan Athletics Open (New Taipei City, TPE) - This has been a decent international meeting in the past. I don't know too much about who's competing this year, except that Anita Wlodarczyk is there as well as some good athletes from various Asian countries. It's a very full programme of events
Défi'Athlon (Montpellier, FRA) - World Combined Events Tour Bronze meeting; The fields aren't terribly deep here but there's one huge name competing, Kevin Mayer. Two other men have 8000+ PBs - Auzeil & Hubert. Geraldine Ruckstuhl heads the Women's field with Solene Ndama & Rita Nemes (HUN) the only other athletes over 6000 points
Hypomeeting (Götzis, AUT) - World Combined Events Tour Gold meeting; No need to tease this, it's Götzis!
? England Athletics Senior and U20 Combined Events Championships (Manchester, GBR) - Heading the fields here are Jodie Smith, Abigail Pawlett, Lewis Church, Elliot Thompson and, in the U20s, Sammy Ball
Nordic Athletics Championships (Copenhagen, DEN) - This is a new championships (individual not team-scoring) and, judging by the teams selected, most of Scandinavia's best athletes are keen to compete here (with the exception of, say, their dozen or so very biggest names). So, it looks like a pretty good meeting overall

Final day of the Kansai Region University Championships (Nagai, JPN) - See 2 posts above
USATF Distance Classic at LA Grand Prix (Los Angeles, CA, USA) - The Men's 5000 looks like the strongest field of the night, including Addisu Yihune (ETH), Abdi Nur and a bunch of men in the mid-13:10s, including Neil Gourley. In the Women's 5000 Schweizer, Cranny & Frerichs return to action. If Lizzie Bird is in decent shape she should win the Steeple. Seddon, Coleman & Staines go in their main events against OK fields. The 800 & 1500 'A' races are during the LA Grand Prix on Sunday
? Women's Challenge 10km Grand Prix series Round 2 (Gqeberha, RSA) - This good series regularly pits some of the best South Africans against good Ethiopians such as Tadu Teshome (called Nare in this series) & Selam Gebre here. This time Irvette van Zyl & Glenrose Xaba are in the home contingent trying to keep up
Czech Super League Round 2 (Plzeň, CZE) - As usual this is well-supported by many of Czechia's best athletes and in many of the events there's a good head-to-head. On the Women's side there's more depth in the sprints and 100 Hurdles and Lada Vondrova is entered in all 3 flat sprints (it's not uncommon for her to do 2 events at these Super League meetings)
Okpekpe Road Race (Okpekpe, NGR) - WA Gold Label race; It looks like the fields will be strong here with Daniel Simiu Ebenyo & Yasin Haji headlining the Men's race and Edith Jepchumba (30:53 PB) & Birtukan Welde in the Women's
International Meeting Slovenska Bistrica - Milan Stepišnik Memorial & Marjan Štimec Memorial (Slovenska Bistrica, SLO) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; The Hammer comps are good here, especially the Women's with a load of Chinese athletes & Rosa Rodrigues (VEN). The Women's LJ isn't bad with Neja Filipic and talented 17yo Brina Likar (SLO) and the Men's LJ includes top Croatians Pravdica & Ceko. In the Men's Shot Sinancevic & Pezer are competing. However, the action on the track is disappointing. I was hoping for a bit more given the meeting's Challenger status
Grifone Meeting - Memorial Angelo Belli (Grosseto, ITA) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; This is the meeting formerly known as the International Meeting di Castiglione della Pescaia. Whilst there's some decent fields on the Men's side, it's a few of the Women's events that catch the eye. The 800 is good with some top Italians (Sabbatini, Coiro & del Buono) facing a good Polish contingent and 2023 Euro Indoor finalist, Lorea Ibarzabal (ESP; 2:00.8 indoors). The Women's 100 Hurdles includes Siciarz and Wojtunik against Errandonea (ESP), McIntosh & 4 good Italians. The W 1500 field looks pretty sharp with a couple of very good Ethiopian youngsters, Martyna Galant (POL), Elena Bello & Walcott-Nolan. Five other Brits are entered in the meeting including Haydock-Wilson
British Milers Club Grand Prix Round 1 (Manchester, GBR) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; The event of the night is definitely the Women's 800 'A' race including Abbey Caldwell (AUS), Mageean, Sharp, Harmilan Bains (IND; 2.02.5 & 4:05.4 PBs) and a group of good British youngsters. In the 1500 'A', Sarah McDonald continues her comeback against Abigail Ives. The standout Men competing are probably Cairess in the 5000 and Copeland against a decent field in the Emsley Carr Mile
Los Angeles Grand Prix (Los Angeles, CA, USA) - WA Continental Tour Gold meeting
Final day of the NCAA D2 Championships (Pueblo, CO, USA) - See post above
Ottawa 10k incl Canadian 10km Championships (Ottawa, CAN) - The big story here is the match-up of Mo Ahmed & Cam Levins, the first time they've faced each other for 7 years. Being realistic though, at 10k there's only one outcome. Rory Linkletter & Tristan Woodfine are amongst the best of the rest. The line-up in the Women's championship is quite good, including Wodak, Leslie Sexton (32:04 PB), Alexandra Lucki, Cleo Boyd, Katelyn Ayers, Sasha Gollish & Maria Bernard-Galea

Ottawa International Marathon (Ottawa, CAN) - WA Elite Label race; The fields are good here with Gadisa Shumie heading 6 sub-2:08 men. He won in Sevilla this February in 2:04:59. Part of the race's intrigue is, with 3 days of their window to go, how many of the 11 Japanese men racing here will achieve the individual times they need to qualify for their Olympic Trials in December? Hint: Not all of them will do it - the standards are tough. I've linked in the document to a separate Preview article about those Japanese men. Heading the Women's field with 6 sub-2:25 athletes is Aberu Ayana Mulisa (2:21:54 PB) and this race also includes Sarah Pagano (USA) and Germany's Melat Kejeta, returning after giving birth and hoping to start to match her HM prowess (65:18 PB) in the marathon
Meeting International de Forbach (Forbach, FRA) - WA Continental Tour Bronze meeting; There's several events here with a few good (or very good athletes) lining up. For example, the Women's 800 includes Almanza & Habitam Alemu, and the 400 Roxana Gomez, Swiety-Ersetic, Vaicule (LAT) & Lacoste. Gierisch, Eckhardt & Danismaz face-off in the Women's Triple Jump and the Men's equivalent includes Cristian Napoles (CUB). In the Men's 800 there's 7 athletes who've run 1:46-flat or faster within the last year or so. Other big names competing including Fajdek, Belocian & Happio
Venizeleia - Chania International Meeting (Chania, Crete, GRE) - WA Continental Tour Bronze meeting; There's some nice competitive fields here such as the Women's 100 Hurdles with Forster, Tjin A-Lim, Batista (BRA) & Nesteriuc, the Women's 400 Hurdles and a pretty strong Men's Hammer
International Pentecost Sport Meeting Rehlingen AKA Pfingstsportfest (Rehlingen, GER) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; The local folk always pack this little stadium out on a holiday weekend for this meeting; There's some very good multi-national fields here, especially in the mid-distances and field events. The Women's 1500 includes Klein, Marta Perez, Mismas-Zrimsek & Vanderelst and the Men's equivalent features Stonier & Mills against the likes of Jye Edwards, Farken, Baptiste Mischler, Elmer & Meslek. The Women's 800 field (split into 2 races) has 15 women who've run 2:01.5 or faster, including young Swiss talent Audrey Werro, Boffey, Baker & Anna Wielgosz. In the Men's 800 the British invasion of Giles, Pattison, Webb & Hussey face Marc Reuther, Tshepo Tshite & Joseph Deng (rubbish last week). Of the field events, both the Javelin comps are particularly loaded (especially the Men's). In addition to those mentioned there's another 4 good Brits due to compete

Scalata al Castello (Arezzo, ITA) - International Men's 10km & Women's 5km road races; There's good fields for the 50th edition of "Climbing the Castle" with the likes of Lucy Muli Mawia, Caroline Gitionga, Rebecca Lonedo & Verity Ockenden in the Women's 5km (6 laps around the town) and Eyob Faniel, Hosea Kiplangat (UGA) & Celestin Ndikumana (BDI) in the Men's 10km

Agree that Gotzis is special, but even the Portarathlon Multi Events Bronze meet in Naxos, Greece, could be viewed live on YouTube, and that was hardly an elite competition. The coverage wasn't fantastic, but at least it was shown.

Talsu Spears (Talsi, LAT) - International Javelin meeting; There's decent fields here with Bekah Walton, Muze & Palameika in the Women's. In the Men's comp there's all the best Latvians plus Douw Smit (RSA)
Montreuil International Meeting (Montreuil, FRA) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; The line-ups here are good. For example, there's five 6.90+ women in the Long Jump, Camacho-Quinn & Ali in the 100 Hurdles and strong mid-distance races. New 19yo Kenyan sensation Nelly Chepchirchir (1:58.23 800 on Sunday) goes in the 1500 against the likes of Alemu, Hiltz, Klein & Guerrero. Eliot Giles faces a good field in the 800 including Sedjati & Ngeny but the strongest event is probably the loaded Women's 800 with Almanza, Reekie, Sekgodiso, Werro, Hoffmann & Shanahan. Other big names competing are Bracy & Martinot-Lagarde. There's a total of 7 Brits entered

For anyone reading my latest round-up of Japanese action elsewhere on this forum, I abandoned the Road the Budapest document that might have enhanced your viewing experience of the Japanese Championships. It was getting too complex and difficult to present the info in an easy-to-digest way.

Thursday to Sunday

Japanese Championships & U20 Championships (Osaka, JPN) - Events to watch out for include the Women's 5000 with Nozomi Tanaka, Ririka Hironaka and a load of other good women, the Women's 100 Hurdles (competition for the Budapest team is hot - Japan has 5 sub-13 women this season, 3 of them sub-12.9), the Women's Javelin with Haruka Kitaguchi and other good throwers, the Men's 110 Hurdles with Izumiya, Takayama & Ishikawa, the Men's 5000 including brilliant 19yo Keita Sato and the Men's Long Jump with several athletes who could join Hiromichi Yoshida with the Budapest standard. Excluding the possibility of athletes on relay teams, Japan currently have 29 women & 40 men who would qualify for Budapest 2023 by entry standard or in a World Rankings quota spot. There's also a number of athletes just outside the World Rankings quota spots and, with Asia being only one of 2 continents to have an Area Championships before the 30th July deadline, with the Rankings points boost that can provide, there is a possibility that several more athletes will be added to those numbers. As well as being Budapest trials these championships are also trials for those Asian Championships and the Asian Games in early October. Broadly speaking, all the heats, semis and field events in Osaka are live on YouTube with track finals on Japanese TV which is very easy to watch using the site I link to. Currently one of the TV channel streams is down (only 2 hours 50 mins of coverage) but sometimes, shortly afterwards, there are YouTube uploads of recordings of the TV broadcasts of track finals

Festival of Miles (St Louis, MO, USA) - There's quite a good field for the Women's Mile here with the likes of Hanna Hermansson, Alexina Teubel, Abby Nichols, Rachel McArthur & Britain's Ellie Leather. The Men's Mile includes Jack Anstey (AUS), Thomas Vanoppen (BEL; 3.54.8 PB) & Olin Hacker. The High School Boys' Championship race is a big deal since it includes 3 sub-4 athletes for the first time ever in a US High School-only race and is being paced by Erik Sowinski, hoping to help them get as close as they can to Alan Webb's 3:53.43 US High School record
Schönebecker SoleCup (Schönebeck, GER) - International Throwing meeting; WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; The line-ups are mostly just decent here with not many foreign athletes entered but both the Men's and Women's Discus fields have a strong domestic contingent. In the Javelin Thomas Rohler continues on the comeback trail. It's 3 and a half years since he's thrown over 76 metres!
