  • There's nine NCAA D1 Regional XC Championships taking place tomorrow. I think a couple of them might be live streamed. However, there's no info on that yet.

If any live streams do transpire, I'll post them tomorrow. All the races will be taking place late afternoon or early evening.

If nothing comes of those, the next major post will be on Saturday evening for Sunday's streams (there's a few events on Saturday but none are looking likely to be streamed.)

    • Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 13th November to Sunday 14th November:

      Saturday
      • Nike Cross Regionals Northwest (Boise, ID, USA) - US High School XC; There won't be a NXN (Nike Cross Nationals) this year but they're still holding the 9 Regional championships over the next 4 weekends; Before the championship races in the webcasts there's a load of lesser races; I'm out of touch with US HS distance running at the moment but the linked Preview article seems to do a good job of highlighting the contenders; These broadcasts are usually pretty good
      Sunday
      • Kansai Region Corporate Men's Ekiden Championship (Ryujinmura, JPN) - 7 legs totalling 80.45km; I haven't had time to study the entrants but Kansai is a fairly strong region
      • East Japan Women's Ekiden (Fukushima, JPN) - 9 legs totalling 42.195km; Teams from 18 prefectures in East Japan compete, composed of Corporate runners, University athletes & High School runners; New 18yo sensation, Seira Fuwa, is running for the Gunma prefecture team. They have 2 other very good athletes though - Harumi Okamoto & Sakiho Tsutsui (4th & 5th in this year's Japanese 10,000m Champs). So, I wonder if Fuwa will run the 10km final (and longest) leg? If so, she'll surely have Hitomi Niiya's 30:52 course record in her sights
      • Ravenna City of Art Marathon & Ravenna Half Marathon (Ravenna, ITA) - Not the most stellar of fields but it's the best marathon being streamed today
      • Cross Valmusone (Osimo, ITA) - Men's 10km & Women's 7km; The second of 3 "indicative" trials races for the Euro XC champs; I watched this in 2019 and it was a nice course through a wooded park; In the Women's race 21yo Anna Arnaudo should continue her breakthrough year with a win; In the Men's race Stefano La Rosa is the favourite, ahead of Michele Fontana
      • Behobia – San Sebastián (Behobia to San Sebastián, ESP) - International 20km road race but seems like it's domestic-only this year; Lots of ups and downs here, with tough climbs at around 7km and 16km, resulting in a 192m net uphill course. The climb to the Gaintxurizketa peak at 7km is 2km long with slopes of 6%; The favourites for the Men's race are Carles Castillejo & Jaume Leiva and Nuria Lugueros is the favourite in the Women's
      • Cross Internacional de Atapuerca (Atapuerca, ESP) - World Cross Country Tour Gold meeting; By far the best fields of the XC Tour this season. Furthermore, I'd say that for each race the depth of the "best" 15 or 20 athletes surpasses any non-Olympic road race field in 2021 so far; The Women's 8km race is almost Diamond League 5000m quality with Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi (why does no-one talk about this brilliant athlete?), Norah Jeruto, Celliphine Chespol, Fantu Worku, reigning World U20 XC champ Beatrice Chebet & Nadia Battocletti. Also running are the winners of the 3 previous Spanish legs - Francine Niyomukunzi, Lucy Mawia Muli & Zenebu Fikadu - as well as Meskerem Mamo and the 2nd placer in San Sebastián last week, Zerfe Wondemagegn. The Spanish contingent is headed by Irene Sanchez-Escribano & Carolina Robles who gave it a really good go in finishing 3rd in San Sebastián; In the Men's 9km race the winner of the last 2 Spanish legs, Rodrigue Kwizera (BDI), should find it tougher with 6 other Top 20 finishers from the 2019 World XC Champs competing - Aron Kifle, Birhanu Balew, Thomas Ayeko, Joel Ayeko, Thierry Ndikumwenayo & the young Spaniard, Ouassim Oumaiz. Other strong entrants include Awet Habte (ERI; winner in Amorebieta 3 weeks ago), youngster Hosea Kiplangat (UGA), Yemane Haileselassie (ERI), Nibret Melak (ETH; winner of the Cinque Mulini earlier this year & 12:54 PB at 5000) and Abeje Ayana (ETH; recent 59:39 half marathon); Besides Oumaiz, Spanish hopes of a high placing rest with Oukhelfen (3rd in San Sebastian), Mechaal & Mayo
      • Nike Cross Regionals Midwest (Terre Haute, IN, USA) - Ditto Saturday's Nike Cross Regionals
      • Nike Cross Regionals Heartland (Sioux Falls, SD, USA) - Ditto!

Startlists now linked in the document for the East Japan Women's Ekiden, and Seira Fuwa is indeed running the final 10km leg. Fascinated to see what she'll do.

    • A recording of the TV broadcast of the East Japan Women's Ekiden has been uploaded to YouTube. Link in the latest document above.

Also, the senior races at the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca were streamed on YouTube so they're dead easy to catch up on.

        Sunday
        • Cross Internacional de Itálica incl Spanish Clubs Championships (Santiponce nr Sevilla, ESP) - WA Cross Country Tour Gold meeting; Strong fields again here; The Women's race features the top 4 from Atapuerca last week as well as Senbere Teferi, Eva Cherono, Yasemin Can & Zerfe Wondemagegn. At least 4 of the contenders for the U23 European XC Championship medals are also competing - Nadia Battocletti, Anna Arnaudo, Mariana Machado & Isabel Barreiro; In the Men's race the reigning champion here and the World U20 3000m champion, Tadese Worku, makes his season XC debut facing a field familiar from the World Tour this season - including Kifle (winner in Atapuerca), Kwizera, the Ayeko's, Melak, Oukhelfen & Mayo
        • Lisbon Half Marathon (Lisbon, POR) - WA Label race; Jacob Kiplimo heads a field that includes 10 other sub-60 men. Amongst them, Shadrack Kimining (KEN; 59:27 PB) and Esa Huseyiden (ETH), winner of the recent Poznan Half in 59:32; The Women's field is good but not as strong as the Men's. Heading the entrants is Tsehay Gemechu (65:08 PB). Jess Piasecki is also entered
        • Carsolina Cross (Sgonico nr Trieste, ITA) - The third of 3 indicative trials races for Euro XC and pretty decent fields assembled; The Men's race includesNekagenet Crippa, Rodgers Maiyo (KEN), Stefano La Rosa, Bouih, Quazzola and Maestri; In the Women's race Steepler & Italian 10,000m champ Martina Merlo faces a decent Italian field inlcuding Gaia Colli & Sara Galimberti as well as 2019 Euro U20 5000m champ Klara Lukan (SLO) and Veronicah Njeri Maina (KEN); There's some good names as well in the mixed short race (2km) that closes the programme

Maybe on VincoSport seeing as it's the European Trials but I wouldn't hold out too much hope. They didn't show last week's races in Milton Keynes and I think they only had highlights (hastily arranged?) for the Cardiff meeting because that was a World Cross Country Tour Gold meeting and WA mandates that Gold meetings have to be broadcast live.

          • Added to the roster for tomorrow (Sunday) is Carsolina Cross near Trieste (ITA) - teaser notes added above.

Added to latest document is also a preview of the Lisbon Half Marathon and up-to-date startlists (I've updated the teaser notes for that event).

            • Live streams/broadcasts for Thursday 25th November to Friday 26th November:

Track & Field is starting back up Down Under. Due to take place before the end of 2021 are a couple of Vic Milers Club meetings, the Zatopek:10, the Albie Thomas Mile and some State championships for longer distances.

              Thursday
              • Victorian Milers Club Meet #1 (Box Hill, VIC, AUS) - 800m & 3000m; Not stellar fields here but they rarely are for the first meeting in the series. 20yo Abbey Caldwell is perhaps the best female athlete lining up (for both the 800 and 3000 it seems) and with her 4:07 PB at 1500 she's far better than her 800 & 3000 PBs would suggest; The Men's 3000 'A' race has a few sub-8 men including Andre Waring & Liam Cashin
              • The Manchester Road Race (Manchester, CT, USA) - 4.748 miles; Good fields here as always. The Women's race includes Weini Kelati, Edna Kiplagat, Monicah Ngige, Taylor Werner, Kiera D'Amato and 2 Brits - Amy-Eloise Markovc & Sarah Inglis; The Men's is headed by Sam Chelanga, Leonard Korir, Drew Hunter, Ben Flanagan (CAN) & Don Cabral
              Friday
              • Abu Dhabi Marathon (Abu Dhabi, UAE) - WA Elite Label race; Strong fields here. In the Men's race 2021 World Leader Titus Ekiru goes up against the 2nd placer in that Milan race and the defending champion here, Reuben Kipyego (2:03:55 PB). There's good depth elsewhere with Philemon Rono, Barnabus Kiptum and Abel Kirui, all 2:04/2:05 athletes, and some other mainstays of the marathon such as Shumi Dechasa and Alphonce Felix Simbu; The Women's race has ten 2:21 to 2:24 athletes including Vivian Kiplagat (defending champion), Megertu Alemu Kebede, Eunice Chumba, Sentayehu Lewetegn, Bethelhem Moges, Abebech Afework & Sharon Cherop

Next major post on Friday evening for the weekend's action including The Queen's Ekiden AKA All Japan Women's Corporate Ekiden Championship, the next leg of the World Cross Country Tour in Alcobendas (Gold meeting) and the Florence Marathon.

              • Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 27th November:

It's another weekend when a lot of Sunday's info is still pending so again I'm splitting the weekend into 2 posts.

It seems that (as usual) there is no streaming for the British Cross Country Trials in Liverpool.

                Saturday
                • Hachioji Long Distance Time Trials (Hachioji, JPN) - Men's 10,000m meeting; This is always a loaded event with a ton of Kenyan & Japanese 27/28 minute men
                • Nike Cross Regionals Southeast (Cary, NC, USA) - US High School XC; There's a decent Preview linked in the document
                • Nike Cross Regionals Northeast & New York (Wappingers Falls, NY, USA) - US High School XC; Two regional meetings combined in one meeting & stream; Again, the linked Preview is decent

                    • Aargh! I've just had a minor disaster involving losing the info for this weekend's streaming events. I will be able to recover most of what's going on from memory etc but it means that the post will be much later tonight, not sure when exactly.

                      • Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 4th December to Sunday 5th December:

                        Saturday
                        • Final day of the Pan-American Junior (U23 & U20) Games (Cali, COL) - see post above
                        • Golden Fly Series Phuket (Phuket, THA) - International street Pole Vault & High Jump meeting; There's a few good names competing here including Holly Bradshaw, Nastassia Myronchyk-Ivanova & Matt Ludwig
                        • Nike Cross Regionals California (Fresno, CA, USA) - US High School Cross Country; There's a decent Preview linked in the document
                        Sunday
                        • Fukuoka International Open Marathon Championship (Fukuoka, JPN) - WA Elite Label race; The 75th and final edition of this historic men's marathon; This year it's domestic-only but the field is still strong with 9 sub-2:08 men headed by Yuta Shitara
                        • Valencia Marathon (Valencia, ESP) - WA Elite Platinum Label race; These fields are loaded, especially the Men's; Live on Eurosport 2 but for those without Eurosport there's other options - a Spanish TV channel (usually not geo-blocked) and possibly a YouTube stream
                        • Cross de la Constitución de Aranda de Duero (Aranda de Duero, ESP) - Look like decent fields here with Thomas Ayeko (UGA), Yemane Haileselassie (ERI) and Toni Abadia amongst the Men's line-up; Dolshi Tesfu (ERI), the winner in Alcobendas last week, is the favourite for the Women's race
                        • Course de l’Escalade (Geneva, SUI) - International 7.32km road races; This is usually the 2nd of 3 in a series of fantastic lap races around Swiss old towns (Corrida Bulloise was cancelled for this year); The Men's & Women's races are run separately and the fields are quite strong with lots of international representation. In the Men's Julien Wanders goes against the likes of Boniface Kibiwott, Mehdi Belhadj, Dominic Lobalu, Napoleon Solomon & Hassan Chahdi; The Women's race includes Helen Bekele Tola, Fabienne Schlumpf and some good Kenyans
                        • USA Half Marathon Championships (Hardeeville, SC, USA) - Good fields here; It's the last race of the 2021 USATF Running Circuit and features many of the mainstays of that series this year; The Women's line-up features Kemp, Morley, D'Amato, Rogers & Kieffer; NCAA XC champion Conner Mantz is hoping to break Ryan Hall's 59:43 NR and, if so, likely beat a field that includes Chelanga, L Korir, Lara, Zienasellassie, Maiyo & miler Eric Avila
All the links & details at https://www.dropbox.com/s/mm5qvmsadt...12-05.odt?dl=0

There's 2 events in mid-week - the Victorian State 5000m Championships on Tuesday and good fields at the Cross Nacional Ayuntamiento de Cantimpalos (ESP) on Wednesday. The former is possibly streaming, the latter definitely is. So, the next major post will either be on Monday or Tuesday evening.
