Coverage starts on BBC Red Button oat 17:30. Don’t know if the BBC will be able to shoe any action in the Gabfest, though.

Oh yeah! I didn't think to check the Red Button since it's on BBC2.

Surprise of surprises.... they *are* showing the early events rather than it being a Gab-fest. Nice!

Also, if you can't be bovvered with the Olympics there's the German U20/18 Championships and the Baltic U20/U18 Team Championships.

              • Monday evening's Giro Podistico di Castelbuono is live on Rai Sport (VPN needed) - details updated in the latest document. It's very possible that a recording of the broadcast will appear on YouTube shortly afterwards. If so, I'll add the link to the document.

                • I'm having major laptop problems right now so there'll be no document for the Olympics etc. You all know what you're doing though! A reminder that the world feeds can be watched live or on-demand on CBC Canada (VPN needed) via https://gem.cbc.ca/olympics
Normal service will be resumed after the Olympics.

On the CBC site you may need to click the "Special Coverage" link under "Event Guide" to see the list of athletics streams, although for tomorrow it seems that they are listed under '"Athletics" instead.

Note that there are some dedicated field streams too - e.g., tomorrow's Women's Discus qualies.

                • I don't know about you but I ended the Olympics feeling pretty exhausted! But maybe by the weekend I'll be ready to resume with some action on the track & roads!

The next post will be on the evening of Thursday 12th (tomorrow) for the Résisprint International in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Eltham BMC Grand Prix, the Memorial Wiesława Maniaka in Szczecin (usually a super little meeting), the Falmouth Elite Miles (track) and famous Falmouth Road Race, the Ed Murphey Classic (mid-distance night on YouTube followed by the American Track League section on US TV), the Baltic Team Championships (starting Friday), the Scottish Senior/U17 Championships, the Balkan U18 Championships, and maybe one or two other events too.

                  • Falmouth Elite Mile (Falmouth, MA, USA) - M + W track miles; Good fields competing for a share of the $25,000 prize pot; In the Women's race Sinclaire Johnson, Helen Schlachtenhaufen & Amy-Eloise Markovc are the headline names whilst Craig Engels, Mason Ferlic, Johnny Gregorek and Charles Philbert-Thiboutot are amongst those in the Men's field
                  • ? Olomouc Half Marathon (Olomouc, CZE) - No details for this yet; Usually it's live streamed or on Czech TV so I'm hopeful for a stream
                  Sunday
                  • Ed Murphey Classic (Memphis, USA) - Distance night (early hours for us) is on YouTube - there's some nice fields for that; The American Track League section of the meeting is on US TV in the evening and features some very strong fields
                  • Ursapharm Speerwurfmeeting (Offenburg, GER) - International Javelin meeting; Good women's line-up including Ogrodnikova, Barber, Winger & Muze; Heading the men's field are Vetter, Peters & Amb

The Men's race includes Emmanuel Bor, Leonard Korir, Flanagan, True, Fauble and Stephen Sambu; It's live on local TV but from what I recall the coverage of the elite races is pretty good EDIT: Molly Seidel is only running with her sister
                  • Memorial Wiesława Maniaka (Szczecin, POL) - Some good line-ups here. The M 800 is headlining and features Dobek & Peter Bol; Krystina Timanovskaya is in the 100 & 200 along with Kristal Awuah; 7 other Brits are entered - Prescod, Coppell, Borthwick, Zialor, Tracey, Pattison & Marrs

                  • It turns out that beside a finish line camera there was no live stream for the Olomouc Half Marathon today. However, it seems like it might have been a Czech-only race this year (won in 1:09:30-odd), so maybe this is why it wasn't live streamed or televised in full this year.

                    • Well, the coverage of the Falmouth Road Race is absolutely dreadful (and pointless, amongst the worst I've ever seen), which is strange because it's been decent in the past.
