Friday- British Olympic Marathon & 20km Race Walking Trials (Kew Gardens, GBR) - see my mini-preview in the 2021 Outdoors thread
- NSAF USA Meet of Champions (Myrtle Beach, SC, USA) - Big outdoor High School meeting, held to replace the indoor meeting that had to be cancelled
- Queensland Track Classic (Nathan nr Brisbane, AUS) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; Very good domestic fields here
- Balkan Race Walking Championships (Antalya, TUR) - A lot of the Balkan nations are missing from this but there's some very good Greek & Turkish athletes competing
- Cinque Mulini (San Vittore Olona, ITA) - WA Cross Country Permit; Limited but good international fields headlined by Muktar Edris, Oscar Chelimo, Leonard Bett, Morhad Amdouni, Campaccio women's winner Tsehay Gemechu, Beatrice Chebet, Sheila Chelangat & Alemitu Tariku
Next major post possibly on Tuesday for the Brisbane Grand Prix. If not, on Wednesday for Thursday's Box Hill Classic.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 26-03-21, 21:00.Comment

Tomorrow's Balkan Race Walking Championships in Antalya, Turkey has been added to the latest document above.Comment

Live streams for Wednesday 31st March to Thursday 1st April:
Wednesday- Comeback 5000 (Battersea Park, GBR) - Track event; Not loaded fields in the elite races but still some good athletes such as Nick Goolab, Phil Norman, Adam Clarke, Jenny Nesbitt, Dani Chattenton & Rebecca Murray
- Box Hill Classic (Box Hill, VIC, AUS) - 1500m, 3000m & Men's 800; The 1500s are the highlights with McSweyn, Ramsden, Gregson & Jye Edwards in the men's and the women's including Hall, Gregson, Seccafien, Buscomb, Duncan & Caldwell
Next major post on Friday for a weekend that includes an absolutely loaded Istanbul Half Marathon.Comment

Live streams/broadcasts for Friday 2nd April to Monday 5th April:
Not listed below but also included in the document is Saturday's WACT Silver meeting in the US. Some big names competing there.
Friday to Saturday- Hayward Premiere (Eugene, OR, USA) - The first meeting at the new, no-longer-Historic, Hayward Field; Some very good collegiate fields here, especially in the distances; Note that the live streams are free-to-watch but the on-demand videos are behind a paywall
- Swiss Marathon Championships (Belp, SUI) - Fabienne Schlumpf making her marathon debut and up against Helen Bekele Tola (2:21 PB; ETH); The men's field is larger but less interesting
- Istanbul Half Marathon (Istanbul, TUR) - WA Elite Label; Really loaded fields here with Kandie, Kamworor and Gdynia bronze medalist Walelegn headlining the men's; The women's field is even stronger with B Kosgei, Obiri (debut), Yehualaw & Chepngetich amongst those entered
- Fast5k (Ashton-in-Makerfield nr Wigan, GBR) - Road race around the Three Sisters motor racing circuit; No details on the field yet except Laura Weightman & Mary Wacera Ngugi are running; This had good fields last October when Weightman & Eric Jenkins won
Next major post on Thursday 8th for a busier weekend with various track & field, road & race walking events. By the way, the big marathon in Hamburg due to take place on the 11th has been postponed (possibly to 18th April).Last edited by LuckySpikes; 03-04-21, 11:26.Comment

There's no individual race videos yet for yesterday's WACT Silver meeting in the US. I'll try again later.Comment

Race videos have now been uploaded for the WA Silver meeting in the US last Saturday. See the latest document above for the link to the folder of videos. It's just the 'A' races plus the Men's 100m 'B' race featuring a British athlete.Comment

Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 10th April to Sunday 11th April:
Good news - the WACT Silver meeting in Miramar, Florida is live on Vinco Sport.
Lots of 10,000s to watch this weekend if that's your thing.
Saturday- Xiamen Marathon (Xiamen, CHN) - WA Elite Platinum Label; Usually one of China's top marathons (hence the Platinum label) but no idea who's competing here nor whether China has opened up to foreign athletes again
- Kanaguri Memorial Distance Meeting (Kumamoto, JPN) - Mid & long distances; Very good fields in the 'A' races - the highlights are strong fields in both the M & W 5000s with, in the women's, last year's breakthrough star 20yo Kaede Hagitani (15:05 PB) up against a bunch of good young Kenyan women including 17yo Cynthia Baire (15:07 PB); Ririka Hironaka (20yo; 14:59 PB) makes her 10,000 debut - being more endurance-based than a speeed-merchant I think it will suit her; Nozomi Tanaka is the hot favourite in the W 1500; I have translated the startlists (with PBs) for all the senior 'A' races
- Lagos City Marathon (Lagos, NGR) - WA Elite Label; No idea of who's competing though apparently 30 or so elite athletes will be running
- Spanish Sen/U23 10,000m Championships & U20/U18 5000m Championships (Torrevieja, ESP) - In the men's Chiqui Perez, Abdessamad Oukhelfen & Jesús Ramos are the main names while Maitane Melero & Marta Galimany should lead the way in the women's; In the age-group races, 17yo Carla Dominguez is impressive - she ran 9:28 for 3000 indoors this winter and then destroyed the U20 field at the Spanish XC Championships
- BMC 5k Road Races (Tameside, GBR) - Tom Lancashire, Robbie Fitzgibbon, Ciara Mageean & Revee Walcott-Nolan are amongst those entered here
- Miramar Invitational (Miramar, FL, USA) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; Lots of big names competing here including a few internationals such as Elaine Thompson
- Portuguese 10,000m Championships (Coimbra, POR) - Not terribly deep with Sara Moreira & Jessica Augusto instead competing in the re-arranged NN Hamburg Marathon next weekend (now in Enschede, NED)
- Japanese 50km Race Walking Championships & Olympic Trials / All Japan Racewalking Wajima Tournament (Wajima, JPN) - With Yusuke Suzuki being pre-selected for Tokyo, there's 2 places up for grabs; Also, there's a small field in the Women's 20km hoping somehow to get the standard and claim the vacant 3rd Olympic spot
- Wuxi Marathon (Wuxi, CHN) - WA Elite Label; Ditto the Xiamen Marathon; That this is being televised suggest the fields will be good?
- Takanori Yoshioka Memorial (Izumo, JPN) - Sprints meeting of a pretty decent standard
- Tuscany Camp Global Elite Marathon (Ampugnano Airport, Siena, ITA) - Very good fields of athletes from all over the world assembled for this, aimed very much at getting Olympic standards (though there is good prize money too); In fact, the fields look better than for the much-vaunted Hamburg (now Enschede) event next weekend
- David Suenram Gorilla Classic (Pittsburg, KA, USA) - Pretty good quality NCAA D2 meeting; 3 of the top 9 Men's D2 teams are competing and 3 of the Women's top 12
Next major post on Sunday 11th for the Australian Championships.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 11-04-21, 16:04.Comment

Australian Championships live streams for Monday 12th April to Monday 19th April:
Monday 12th to Monday 19th- Australian Championships (Sydney, AUS) - Welcome to the crazy, bloated affair that is the Australian Championships! Several hundred champions will be crowned as it's the national championships for U14, U15, U16, U18, U20, Seniors & Para athletes! The Senior events start on Thursday though it's not an easy watch since it's interspersed with other categories; If you're only interested in the senior action your best bet is to watch the YouTube videos on-demand and have the timetable at hand so that you can skip through the videos; All the expect names are competing
Next major post on Thursday 15th for what looks like a fairly quiet weekend but which includes the Roma Sprint Festival on Friday and the (re-arranged from Hamburg) NN Mission Marathon in Enschede on Sunday.Comment

Live streams/broadcasts for Friday 16th April to Sunday 18th April:
EDIT : The stream for the NN Mission Marathon has been confirmed on BBC Online.
A note about live streaming of WA Label road races in China
For the time being I am suspending posting of links/details for these since it's clear that China is not yet allowing foreign athletes to compete. Therefore, the quality of these races at present isn't great.
Friday to Monday- Ongoing Australian Championships (see post above)
- Roma Sprint Festival (Rome, ITA) - Decent domestic fields for the first edition of this meeting
- Mujalonga Sul Mar 10k (Muggia - Trieste, ITA) - International fields (all Italian-based athletes); Faniel & Razzine are expected to be at the sharp end in the men's race
- NN Mission Marathon (Twente Airport, Enschede, NED) - The headline name is Eliud Kipchoge; Otherwise, not super-deep but the fields of athletes from all over the world are decent
- Dębno Marathon incl Polish Marathon Championships (Dębno, POL) - The domestic fields aren't bad. Former steepler Krystian Zalewski is making his marathon debut (1:01:32 PB at the half)
- Almond Blossom International Cross Country (Albufeira, POR) - WA Cross Country Permit; The fields are international but not very deep, perhaps understandable given that it's not the time of year for Cross Country
Next major post on Friday 23rd.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 18-04-21, 00:08.Comment
