Watching the Vanderbilt stream from last night. There’s no commentary or graphics for the early field events, but once the racing starts at the 3 hour mark, there is a stadium announcer, so you’ll need a FF button.

Startlists for all today's NCAA meetings have now been added to the latest document (except for track events at Houston - that should be forthcoming).Comment

I'll be posting late tonight for a long weekend that, at the moment, includes 3 European indoor meetings, the American Track League, the Potts Classic outdoor meeting in NZ and various NCAA meetings. The first action starts at 6.40pm tomorrow.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 21-01-21, 18:33.Comment

Live streams for Friday 22nd January to Sunday 24th January:
OK, so having watched bits of all the NCAA streams I listed last weekend (and spent long enough with them to assess them all), there's some culling to be done. So, I won't be listing future streams for the home meetings of:
-- North Dakota State (Fargo) - Just 1 fixed camera at the end of the stadium made this a very difficult watch.
-- Pittsburg State (Pittsburg) - They had all the necessary on-screen graphics but it was a difficult watch otherwise. It's a shame because their meetings are good D2 quality with the occasional D1 team also competing.
-- Grand Valley State (Allendale) - It turns out that these are Pay-per-view ($3.95 per meeting) so I won't be listing them. Again, a shame because the remaining 5 home meets will probably be good quality D2 meetings.
For Penn State, I'd say their stream was borderline watchable. I think I'd need to see another (this weekend?) before deciding. I am a bit loathe to drop their meetings since they're a solid D1 team with a few very good athletes who can get to nationals.
Having lost a couple of good series of D2 meetings from our options I can say however that the stream for last weekend's D2 Mel Tjeerdsma Classic (hosted by Northwest Missouri State Uni) was pretty decent. With about 12 or 13 teams competing, many of the events were pretty competitive (with the quality/depth surpassing some of the D1 meetings I listed) and overall it was enjoyable. Good coverage of the vertical jumps (not so much the horizontal jumps though with head-on cameras) and mostly they covered the track races very well. They're hosting another meeting this weekend - the Northwest Open.
I have rejected a couple of other D2 Universities' streams on quality of coverage grounds (without listing them here first) and there's a couple of Unis streaming their D3 meetings but I won't be listing those on "standard of athletics" grounds.
Ok, finally onto this weekend's action ... We have 3 European indoor meetings, American Track League meet #1, a NZL outdoor meeting, and 8 NCAA meetings.
Sunday's Paris Indoor meeting appears to have been cancelled for 2021. Also, there's supposed to be a good mid-distance indoor meeting in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday but details on that are scant so far.
Friday- Meeting Elite de Miramas (Miramas, FRA) - Zango is competing again; A decent meeting of French & French-based athletes
- Akron Tri-Meet (Akron, OH, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; Akron vs Buffalo vs Kent State; 300m flat track; They seem to have upped their game on their live streams with an on-screen clock, startlists & results for all track events
- Jayhawk Classic (Lawrence, KS, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; Between them the 3 teams competing - Kansas, Wichita State & Kansas State - as well as some unattached athletes can muster decent depth in a fair few of the events; Christina Clemons is also running the 60m
- Northwest Open (Maryville, MO (Missouri), USA) - NCAA D2 meeting hosted by Northwest Missouri State; 16 teams competing so likely to be a pretty good D2 meeting; Friday is the Pentathlon and the 5000s and DMRs
- Myrle Hanson Open (Spearfish, SD, USA) - NCAA D2 meeting hosted by Black Hills State
- Potts Classic incl New Zealand 3000m Championships (Hastings, NZL) - Oceania Area Permit Meeting; A lot of New Zealand's better athletes are competing, e.g., Adams, Walsh, the return of Eliza McCartney, Eddie Osei-Nketia & 5k/10k runner Camille Buscomb dropping down to the 800; The men's 3000 looks good with Baxter, Beamish, Carson, Oakley & Tanner amongst those running
- Gran Premio Internacional Ciudad de Valencia (Valencia, ESP) - Domestic-only meeting (including Spain-based internationals) but not without quality with 32 Spanish champions due to compete; The Men's 3000 in particular looks very good with Carro, Fontes & Ben amongst those chasing the Euro Indoors standard of 7:50
- Gladstein Invitational (Bloomington, IN, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; With 4 good teams from one of the "Power 5" conferences competing here - Indiana, Michigan, Purdue & Michigan State (all from the Big Ten conference) - this looks like the best quality NCAA meeting we've had on the streams so far this season. HOWEVER, note that it doesn't seem like the streams will be archived so if you want to watch it you'll need to do so live
- Dakota Realty Invitational (Vermillion, SD, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; South Dakota competing against Omaha, Oral Roberts, Sioux Falls & Wayne
- Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational (Brookings, SD, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; South Dakota State competing against North Dakota, Omaha, UMary & North Dakota State (although Omaha are supposed to be in Vermillion at the Dakota Realty Invitational?!)
- Penn State Invite (University Park, PA, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; Penn State competing against Ohio State, Maryland & Rutgers; STREAMING NOW CONFIRMED. Some excellent athletes here like Anavia Battle (W 60 & 200), Danae Rivers (W 800) & Domenic Perretta (M 800 & Mile). GB's Marcia Sey (60 & 60H) and Emma Nwofor (60H, 200 & LJ) are also competing.
- Palaindoor di Ancona (Ancona, ITA) - Whilst some of Italy's best aren't here, the sprints, hurdles & jumps still look pretty decent with a number of familiar names competing; The Italian Federation's live streams are always excellent
- American Track League #1 (Fayetteville, AR, USA) - World Indoor Tour Silver meeting; Some big names competing here and some Brits including Adam Gemili & Daryll Neita
- Kitakyushu Invitational Women's Ekiden (Fukuoka, JPN) - NOW CANCELLED FOR 2021
Next major post on Monday for Tuesday's Zatopek:10 in Melbourne and Wednesday's big international High Jump meeting in Italy.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 23-01-21, 23:50.Comment

Added to the latest document and the notes above are 2 more NCAA D1 meetings:
-- the Gladstein Invitational - featuring 4 Big Ten teams, this will be the best-quality NCAA meeting we've had on the streams this year. Do note, however, that it doesn't seem like these streams will be archived so you'll probably need to watch it live.
-- the Jayhawk Classic - looks pretty decent; The first half of this 2-day meeting took place today (Friday)
Also featuring 4 Big Ten teams, the Penn State Invite is confirmed as being live streamed and the startlists have been published. There's a few athletes of interest competing there including a couple of Brits (see the notes above for more info).Comment

Pretty good coverage on Stream 4 for the Gladstein Invitational, especially of the track events. Nice and clear stadium announcing too.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 23-01-21, 15:31.Comment

Live streams/broadcasts for Tuesday 26th January to Wednesday 27th January:
Tuesday- Zatopek:10 incl Australian 10,000m Championships (Box Hill, VIC, AUS) - Good women's 10,000 field including Genevieve Gregson, Seccafien (now AUS-based), Diver, Pashley, Stenson (nee Trengove) & Rose Davies. Some of those will be going for the Olympic standard (31:25); The men's race also has a good field but they'll be fighting for the minor places behind McSweyn - unfortunately Pat Tiernan is not here (he's US-based); Some good events on the undercard too, e.g., a Women's 1500 including Hall, Blundell, Small & Hansen
- Udin Jump Development (Udine, ITA) - International High Jump meeting; Excellent women's field with Mahuchikh, Licwinko, Trost, Vallortigara, Furlani and some top youngsters such as Sajdokova, Pieroni & Dosi; The men's field isn't quite as good but still features Protsenko, Zayas, Sottile, Castro Rivera & Thomas
Next major post on Thursday for the weekend's events including Karlsruhe and some other good European indoor meetings in Vienna, Dusseldorf & Mondeville, American Track League #2, NCAA meetings and the Osaka Women's Marathon.Comment

I'll be posting details of this weekend's streaming events tomorrow (Friday) morning or lunchtime - I want more time for meetings to fill their details in, rather than having to keep going back so many times to the document and the post to add details!
The first of tomorrow's action is likely to start at 4pm.👍 1Comment

Live streams/broadcasts for Friday 29th January to Sunday 31st January:
Not so many NCAA streams this weekend which is probably a good thing since there's a lot of quality European meetings streaming (not just Karlsruhe) as well as the American Track League #2. Being live streamed for the first time I think, are the meetings in Vienna & Mondeville.
Friday to Saturday- H-Town Speedcity Series #2 (Houston, TX, USA) - NCAA D1 meeting; With Houston and 6 or 7 "mid-ranking" D1 teams competing this looks like a decent meeting
- Western Colorado Triangular (Gunnison, CO, USA) - NCAA D2 meeting; Western Colorado vs MSU Denver vs CSU Pueblo; I can't vouch for how good the coverage will be but these are 3 teams from the strong RMAC conference
- Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe, GER) - World Indoor Tour Gold meeting; Do you really need me to hype this up?
- Cooks Classic incl NZL Mile Championships (Whanganui, NZL) - looks a bit weaker than last week's Potts Classic but still there's decent NZL Mile Championships on both sides and in the Shot Put there's Walsh & Gill
- Indoor Track & Field Vienna (Vienna, AUT) - As always at this meeting, some good fields with athletes from all across Europe; The W 400 is particularly loaded with Bol, Klaver, Horvat, De Witte, Slott Petersen, Miklos, Vasiliou & Zupin; Jamie Webb due to go in the 800
- Herschel Neil Invite (Maryville, Missouri, USA) - NCAA D2 meeting; The third of Northwest Missouri State's 4 home indoor meetings; I've enjoyed these good D2 meetings - there's been some really fun racing; The hosts are a strong team throughout - their men were ranked 5th nationally in D2 after last weekend and their women are ranked 8th; Pretty decent coverage too - they stepped it up a little last week introducing slo-mo replays and, for some (not all) track events, startlists & results
- Meeting Elite de Mondeville (Mondeville, FRA) - Looks like a pretty good meeting with plenty of international athletes competing; A TV-quality production with 8 cameras, slo-mo etc has been promised for the live stream
- Osaka International Women's Marathon (Osaka, JPN) - WA Elite Label; Domestic-only field this year but could be a big day - aided by male pacemakers Mao Ichiyama & Honami Maeda are attacking the Japanese NR held by Mizuki Noguchi at 2:19:12; Being run on a 2.8km loop this year; As usual with Far East TV races I'll try to find a YouTube recording afterwards
- ISTAF Indoor Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf, GER) - World Indoor Tour Silver meeting; Only 60s, hurdles & field on the programme this year and I think the meeting may have moved away from its usual arena with the oval track; Some good fields headlined by the M PV - Duplantis, Kendricks & Lisek - and W LJ with Mihambo, Spanovic & Sagnia. Dina Asher-Smith in the 60 and Visser & Talay in the 60H; I have read that this meeting will be streamed by WA on YouTube (if not, it's on a German stream also)
- Perche En Or (Tourcoing, FRA) - international Pole Vault meeting; The 2nd leg of the Perche Elite Tour that takes in several French cities; The women's field includes Stefanidi, Kiraikopoulou & Ryzih and the men's Lavillenie, Wojciechowski & Nilsen
- American Track League 2 (Fayetteville, AR, USA) - World Indoor Tour Silver meeting; Some big names competing (see LetsRun preview) but still no start/entry lists published for most events yet
Next major post possibly on Sunday (depending on an NCAA XC meeting stream materialising), but more likely on Monday for Tuesday's big HJ meeting at Banská Bystrica & the Erfurt Indoor, and on Wednesday the Czech Indoor Gala in Ostrava.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 30-01-21, 15:34.Comment
