Live streams/broadcasts for Tuesday 23rd May:
Tuesday- Memoriál Ludvíka Daňka (Turnov, CZE) - The headline event here is always the Men's Discus and this year it features Chad Wright (JAM), Nick Percy, Robert Szikszai (HUN) & Victor Hogan (RSA) and also good Czechs such as Marek Barta (64.40 PB) and the Forejt brothers. The rest of the events aren't as strong but there are some top Czechs competing as well as some Ukrainians and C-level Jamaicans. For example, in the Men's 100 Veleba & Stromsik face Bailey Oshane & Samuel Rowe. The Women's 100 Hurdles and 300 are also decent
- International Meeting Ptuj - Robert Prelog Memorial (Ptuj, SLO) - Competing here there's athletes of varying ability from 10 countries. The big domestic names competing are Kristjan Ceh & Neja Filipic (LJ) and elsewhere there's a few decent head-to-heads such as Aurora Berton (ITA) against Agata Zupin in the W 200. I think the overall fields will be stronger for the weekend's meeting in Slovenska Bistrica which is a Conti Tour Challenger meeting
Next major post tomorrow (Tuesday) evening for Wednesday's 3 Continental Tour meetings in Savona, Kallithea & Wetzlar and for the start of the NCAA D1 Preliminary Rounds. -
OK, thanks.I've replaced the EA link in the document with the British Athletics link.
-
There’s two YT streams for the Night of the 10,000m PBs. BritishAthletics one is ad-free - European Athletics one is….not. You’ll soon see the difference.Leave a comment:

For the two CT Gold races: several FTA repeats on Viaplay Xtra, but the first showings are: Yokohama Monday 11:30; Bermuda Mon/Tue 00:00, so not too bad if you need to avoid seeing results. -
Streaming is confirmed for the Karlovy Vary Half Marathon. -
Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 20th May to Sunday 21st May:
Sorry, no teaser notes tonight but for nearly all the events there are adequate preview articles linked in the document as well as start/entry lists.
Other than the 3 events taking place in Britain, there are Brits also competing at Lange Laufnacht (stronger than its Challenger label might suggest), the Karlovy Vary Half Marathon, the European Race Walking Team Championships, the Mityng Gwiazd na Rynku Kościuszki street meet and the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix.
Saturday to Sunday- East Japan Corporate Championships (Tochigi, JPN) - The entry lists are loaded here, especially in the distance events. But, there is a proviso ... There's sometimes quite a lot of withdrawals from the regional Corporate Championships so a race that looks loaded might end up just being a good field. However, there's lots of names I'm excited about so I'll still be watching and hoping most of them turn up!
- Ongoing South American U20 Championships (Bogotá, COL) - See 2 posts above
- Lange Laufnacht (Karlsruhe, GER) - Mid-distance meeting; WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting
- Night of the 10,000m (Highgate, London, GBR) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; Includes British Championships and British trials for the World Championships & for the European 10,000m Cup in 2 weeks' time
- ? Karlovy Vary Half Marathon (Karlovy Vary, CZE) - WA Label race; European-only elite fields (RunCzech are doing this - the "Euro Heroes" initiative - for 3 more of their half marathons this year)
- 10k Bengaluru (Bengaluru, IND) - WA Gold Label race
- Golden Grand Prix (Yokohama, JPN) - WA Continental Tour Gold meeting
- European Race Walking Team Championships (Poděbrady, CZE) - World Race Walking Tour Gold meeting; As always, this is absolutely loaded and a de facto European Championships in the years between the "real" European Championships. Poděbrady is the nicest of all the major race walking courses, taking place on a proper loop in a leafy park rather than on a narrow "loop" up and down a road
- Great Manchester Run (Manchester, GBR) - International 10km road race
- Mityng Gwiazd na Rynku Kościuszki AKA Meeting of the Stars at Kościuszko Square (Białystok, POL) - HJ, PV & SP street meeting; WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting
- ? Grand Prix International NCT Talagante (Talagante nr Santiago, CHI) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting
- USATF Bermuda Grand Prix (Devonshire, BER) - WA Continental Tour Gold meeting
- Loughborough International (Loughborough, GBR) - ENG - WAL - SCO - GBU20 - NAL
Next major post on Monday evening for Tuesday's Memoriál Ludvíka Daňka (Turnov, CZE) and possibly the international meeting in Slovenia (depending on the quality of the fields).Leave a comment:

Added to the document above is the Grand Prix Sudamericano Orlando Guaita (Copiapó, CHI), a WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting.
I don't know who is competing but I do know that Salwa Eid Naser is competing in the Grand Prix meeting in Chile on Sunday.Leave a comment:

It turns out that the broadcasts of the South American U20 Championships are NOT geo-blocked. -
Live streams/broadcasts for Friday 19th May:
Friday to Sunday- South American U20 Championships (Bogotá, COL) - There's very little info about this - other than Brazil's, federations in South America seem very disorganised! From the limited info in the Preview articles it seems that many of South America's best youngsters will be competing
- Track Night NYC (New York, USA) - WA Continental Tour Bronze meeting; The 800s are the main events here ($8,000 for the winners!) Hoppel, Harris, Lopez & Randolph go in the Men's and in the Women's there's Ajee Wilson, Allie Wilson, Tracey, Lucia Stafford & Gorriaran. There's a few other Brits in action including Bird & Leather in the W 1500 & Coleman in the M 3000SC
Next major post tomorrow (Friday) for a loaded weekend including the Conti Tour Gold meetings in Bermuda & Yokohama, the Night of the 10,000m PBs, the European Race Walking Team Championships, the Bengaluru 10k, the Great Manchester Run and Lange Laufnacht in Karlsruhe, a good mid-distance meeting.Leave a comment:

Live streams/broadcasts for Thursday 18th May:
Thursday- Ongoing Portarathlon (Naxos, GRE) - World Combined Events Tour Bronze meeting; See the post above
- Meeting International SATUC Toulouse (Toulouse, FRA) - Mid-distance meeting; Some of the fields aren't great here but the Men's 800 'A' race is pretty loaded with 4 sub-1:45 men headed by Oussama Nabil (MAR) and a further 2 sub-1:46 including Ireland's John Fitzsimmons. Kane Elliott is in a decent 1500 'A' race
- Spåret 5000m (Stockholm, SWE) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; The Men's 5000 'A' race is quite good with some good Swedes such as Emil Danielsson, Simon Sundstrom & Suldan Hassan facing some good Norwegians like Per Svela & Magnus Tuv Myhre. The Women's race isn't as strong
- Meeting Desafío Nerja (Nerja, ESP) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; In its fourth year this meeting is going from strength to strength with some nice fields in the 800s, 1500s & 5000s. The Women's 1500 features Guerrero vs Marta Perez along with a couple of fairly unknown Ethiopians and a couple of Spain's best 800m women. World Indoor 800m champ Mariano Garcia goes in the Men's 1500 against Samuel Abate (ETH), Fontes & Paniagua. The Women's 5000 has a number of Spain's best (e.g., Sanchez-Escribano, Ruiz, Marques (debut)) plus 2023 World U20 XC champ Senayet Getachew and other decent internationals such as Muriel Coneo (COL). The Men's 5000 looks competitive with a number of good Spaniards (e.g., Carro, Arce, Jiminez, Hassaous) along with three 13-mid Ethiopians, Mohamed Al-Garni (QAT) & Santiago Catrofe (URU). Two Ethiopians should dominate the Women's 800 (headed by Worknesh Mesele (1:58.7 PB)), ahead of Zoya Naumov & Salome Afonso (POR)
Next major post tomorrow (Thursday) evening for Friday's Track Night NYC (Conti Tour Bronze) and the start of the South American U20 Championships.👍 1Leave a comment:

Live streams/broadcasts for Wednesday 17th May:
Wednesday to Thursday- Portarathlon (Naxos, GRE) - World Combined Events Tour Bronze meeting; The line-ups are decent here with 4 men over 7700 points including Harry Kendall and 4 women over 5800, headed by Daryna Sloboda (UKR). There's 5 other Brits also competing including Jordana Morrish & Joseph Caius
- Filothei Women Gala (Filothei nr Athens, GRE) - WA Continental Tour Silver meeting; Sprints & jumps meeting; The fields here probably don't quite justify the upgrade from Bronze to Silver level but this is always an enjoyable and compact meeting in a quirky little stadium. The pick of the events is probably the Long Jump including Gardasevic, Rotaru-Kottmann, Filippa Kviten (nee Fotopoulou) & Diana Lesti. Kat Stefanidi & Angelina Topic are also competing along with GB's Kate Anson
Next major post tomorrow (Wednesday) evening for Thursday's Meeting Desafío Nerja (in Spain) which is looking good, and the international mid-distance meeting in Toulouse.Leave a comment:

APOLOGIES – I messed up with the time of the stream for the ACC Championships (5 hours too late). However, there are race videos from the ACC Championships and other big NCAA D1 championships (with probably more to be added) via https://www.youtube.com/@MANGATHAOFFICIALFF/videos (no geo-blocking) -
The pre-meeting at the Kip Keino Classic is liive at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6WdENWBk0o (started at 12.25pm UK time)
UPDATE (early Sunday): Now removed by NTV Kenya!Last edited by LuckySpikes; 14-05-23, 01:36. -
Live streams/broadcasts for Saturday 13th May to Monday 15th May:
A reminder that I don't tease up the Conti Tour Gold meetings or Diamond Leagues - there's no need to and it saves me time not having to do so. Also, this weekend we have final day broadcasts (track finals) for the SEC, Pac-12 & ACC conferences in NCAA D1. I haven't provided teaser notes for those either, simply because if you're a fan of US collegiate athletics they're all must-watch.
Re a couple of Conti Tour meetings on the calendar on Saturday but not listed here ... There is absolutely zero info on the NACAC New Life Invitational (Silver) in the Bahamas so I'm not even sure that's going ahead.
Vergotia, the international sprints & field meeting in Greece, has been cancelled. It's changed venues this year and they've found out that the track at the new venue doesn't meet the specs sufficiently! Doh!
Saturday to Sunday- Ongoing Kantō Region University Championships (Sagamihara, JPN) - See 2 posts above
- Ongoing Kansai Region Corporate Championships (Naruto, JPN) - See the post above
- Conference USA (C-USA) Championships (Denton, TX, USA) - NCAA D1 conference; This is a decent conference that includes UTEP, Rice & Charlotte
- Ongoing Mountain West Conference Championships (Clovis, CA, USA) - NCAA D1 conference; See the post above
- Ter Specke Bokaal (Lisse, NED) - I'm including this mainly for the Women's events where there's more athletes who are familiar than on the Men's side. The best Dutch heptathletes are competing in the 100H (also Tijn A-lim) and High Jump. The women's sprints include Seedo, Samuel & van Vliet, heading the Jav field is Bekah Walton and the Triple Jump includes Gierisch & Maduka
- Kip Keino Classic (Nairobi, KEN) - WA Continental Tour Gold meeting
- Göteborgsvarvet (Gothenburg, SWE) - International Half Marathon; There's a good Men's field here with 5 sub-60 men, headed by Alex Kibet (58:55 PB & 59:11 SB). The depth does fall off quite sharply after that though. The Women's race isn't as strong with 2 sub-68 athletes, Aberash Shilima & Beatrice Chepkemoi Mutai
- Belfast Irish Milers Meet (Belfast, GBR) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; There's sprint races here but the best fields are in the mid-distances (as you'd hope at a Milers Meet). The race of the day has to be the Women's 800 'A' race with the absolute best Irish women (Mageean etc), some top Brits (Boffey etc) and Scaunet (BEL). The Men's 3000 'A' race also looks pretty good with Coscoran, James West, Travers, Battershill, Griggs, Hiko Tonosa Haso & Mark Pearce. The Men's 800 'A' should be English-dominated with Davis, Randolph, Hussey & Locke and the class of the Women's 1500 line-up are Hannah Nuttall & Marissa Damink (NED). The Women's 400 'A' race is decent with Phil Healy, Mawdsley & Bundy-Davies though I wouldn't expect SBD to be competitive with those two
- Lisek at Home (Duszniki, POL) - International Men's Pole Vault meeting; Every self-respecting world-class male pole vaulter has to have his own meeting these days and this is Piotr's. Karalis, Lisek, M Ludwig & Wojciechowski have been announced so far with more to be added
- Milla de Santander incl Spanish Senior Road Mile Championships (Santander, ESP) - It's a little bit confounding that the Spanish Road Mile Championships don't have the strength of fields that many of Spain's invitational road mile events have. We do, however, have Marta Perez here and she faces the likes of Rosalia Tarraga & Alicia Carrera. Heading the Men's field is 3:38 1500 athlete Abderrahman El Khayami. The winners of the titles here and tomorrow in the 5km & Half Marathon championships will be provisionally selected for the World Road Running Championships at the end of September
- Meeting Ibiza "Toni Bonet" (Ibiza, ESP) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; There's a few big names of Spanish athletics competing here, e.g., World Indoor champ Mariano Garcia, Esther Guerrero & Oscar Husillos. However, the fields aren't deep although there is a good head-to-head in many of the events, e.g., Angel Tenorio (ECU) vs Maribel Perez in the 100 (also includes Cyrena Samba Mayela) and in the Men's 3000 Mohamed Al-Garni (QAT) faces Sergio Jimenez and Sergio Paniagua who had a breakthrough winter on the country this winter
- Ongoing Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships (Slippery Rock, PA, USA) - NCAA D2 conference; See the post above
- Ongoing The Summit League Conference Championships (Fargo. ND, USA) - NCAA D1 conference; See 2 posts above
- Ongoing Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships (St Paul, MN, USA) - NCAA D2 conference; See the post above
- River Bank Run incl USA 25km Championships (Grand Rapids, MI, USA) - The Women's race looks the more interesting here (they start separately so I think there's a stream for each race). Amongst the headliners are D'Amato, Betsy Saina, Rojas & Paquette and also entered is steepler and 2019 World Mountain Running champion, Grayson Murphy. The Men's field includes Leonard Korir, Sam Chelanga & Jacob Thomson
- Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championships (Baton Rouge, LA, USA) - NCAA D1 conference
- Run Your City Cape Town 10k (Cape Town, RSA) - International road race; This is a good series of events. Stephen Mokoka, Denis Kipngetich (KEN), Precious Mashele, Elroy Galant & Melikhaya Frans make for a good line-up in the Men's race. Mashele is the new NR-holder with his 27:35 in the Run Your City Gqberha 10k a few weeks ago. 19yo Prisca Chesang (UGA; 30:19 PB) looks like the strong favourite to take the Women's victory
- Santander 5km & Half Marathon incl Spanish 5km & Half Marathon Championships (Santander, ESP) - The Men's Half Marathon has a decent cast competing for the Spanish title, e.g., Rojo, Blanco, Chakir & Blanes, but overall they are likely to be playing second fiddle to the Kenyans (Nehemiah Kipyegon the fastest at 61:43) and maybe also to Abderraahmane Aferdi (MAR) who made big strides on the country this winter and has been consistent in the 28-mid range for 10km this year. Nancy Jepleting (KEN) might be the favourite for the Women's Half Marathon although she can be inconsistent. The domestic field for the Spanish HM championship isn't super-deep but still features good athletes such as Merixtell Soler, Fátima Ouhaddou (both with a 2:26 marathon PB this year), Irene Pelayo, Laura Mendez & Laura Luengo, fresh off a big 32:20 10km PB last month. There's a bunch of good women competing for the Spanish 5km title such as Beatriz Alvarez, Maitane Melero, Lidia Campo, Alicia Berzosa & triathlete Paula Herrero, the latter probably the favourite after her recent road 10km races (31:23 NR). However, with Nancy Jepleting (returning after the Half Marathon??) & Majida Maayouf (MAR) also entered, she could face stiff competition to be the first woman across the line. Heading the Men's 5km field are Ouassim Ouamiz (13:06 5000 PB) and Jesus Ramos who won the 10k in Huelva in 28:16 a few weeks ago.
- Czech Super League Round 1 (Brno, CZE) - There's no entry lists for this yet but these meetings are usually well supported by many of Czechia's best athletes. The Czech Federation's live streams are also very good so it's an easy watch
- Copenhagen Marathon (Copenhagen, DEN) - WA Label race; The Men's field is pretty good here with 6 sub-2:07 athletes, headed by Reuben Kiprop (2:03:55 PB). Great to also see that Mongolian NR-holder and ex-Morpeth Harrier, Ser Od Bat Ochir, will also be lining up. Juliet Chekwel (UGA) heads a Women's field that includes 3 athletes at 2:24 or faster. There's also a few B/C-level Brits competing in both races, including Mohamud Aadan & Philly Bowden
- Internationales Läufermeeting AKA Meeting der krummen Strecken (Pliezhausen, GER) - WA Continental Tour Challenger meeting; This is always a nice kick-off to the German season. Even though it's not terribly loaded, in most events there's at least a couple of good names. In the Men's 2000SC, Italy's Zoghlami brothers go against Jan-Pieter Hannes (BEL). Mihambo, Micha Powell (CAN) & Alicia Schmidt are amongst the athletes in one or both of the 150 & 300. The Women's 1000 features Katharina Trost against Majtie Kolberg & Delia Sclabas. Alex Haydock-Wilson is in the 150 & 300 against Spain's Samuel Garcia
- Marathon de Santiago Chile (Santiago, CHI) - No idea of the fields here but it's usually a decent marathon with a number of East Africans competing. The course records are 2:09:39 & 2:28:18
- Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships (Raleigh, NC, USA) - NCAA D1 conference
- Pac-12 Conference Championships (Walnut, CA, USA) - NCAA D1 conference
- Indian Federation Cup Championships (Ranchi, IND) - This is one of the strongest Indian meetings and always has some good depth and performances
Next major post possibly on Monday evening for Tuesday's Reunión Internacional Ciudad de Guadalajara meeting in Spain and also, if sufficient info is available by then, for Wednesday's Filothei Women Gala (Conti Tour Silver) and Portarathlon (World Combined Events Tour Bronze), both in Greece. We're starting to get into the meat of the season when multiple posts per week are needed again!👍 1Leave a comment:
